About Us

Mount Airy Saw & Mower, Inc. was established in 1980. It began as a one-man operation and has grown into 10 full-time employees.

In 2006 the previous owner decided he was ready to retire and sold the business to Brady and Julie Johnson. The Johnsons kept all the key personnel. The transition was seamless. The biggest change was the new location at 1948 Rockford Street across town from the old location.

After the move, Mount Airy Saw & Mower began expanding the business by adding BOB-CAT commercial mowers and Cub Cadet/Yanmar compact tractors and the staff to accommodate the growth. Mount Airy Saw & Mower also sells Cub Cadet residential and commercial mowers, as well as Husqvarna residential and commercial riding mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers.

We also carry a full line of premium handheld products. STIHL handheld equipment is the industry leader in grass trimmers, chain saws, and leaf blowers. Honda Power Equipment is also an industry leader, including water pumps, generators, tillers, and push mowers. When you buy a STIHL or a Honda, you have bought the best! Other products we carry include Briggs & Stratton generators and engines and Troy-Bilt tillers.

Mount Airy Saw & Mower has one of the best Service Departments in the State. Whether it's changing spark plugs or rebuilding engines, transmissions, or a hydro pumps, Mount Airy Saw & Mower does it all right in-house. Service is one of the biggest parts of our business and something you don't get at the big box stores.
